Therapeutic Massage is a complementary health care method that offers physical , mental, and emotional benefits for the recipient. It is found in all cultures as an integral part of any health care regime. I use a combination of very light strokes to deep tissue work. Both Swedish and Deep Tissue massage will shorten recovery time from muscular strain by flushing tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. Some of the benefits which may occur are improved heart-rate and blood presssure, reduction of mental and muscular stress, increased joint flexibility and range of motion, improved concentration, stimulation and the release of endorphins, reduced anxiety, creation of a feeling of well-being, and increased awareness of the mind-body connection.

Touch for Health Kinesiology
is both a science and an art. It uses the muscles as a bio-feedback system
and becomes a tool that connects mind and body. Derived from Chinese medicine,
it uses the body's electromagnetic energy system (meridians), to interface
between the physical and the subtle energy bodies. By using this all-important
method it is possible to re-educate brain patterns in the physical, emotional,
and the biochemical realms. Kinesiology usually is done over a period
of several sessions.

NeuroMuscular Reprogramming (NMR) is a form of Kinesthetic conversation with the body which will imprint new input on the motor control center of the brain, replacing damaged imprints created through trauma, injury, operations, or repetitive strain from ineffective-use patterns.* By using muscle testing the therapist will assess specific structural imbalances. NMR is non-invasive and deeply effective. Long-lasting improvements in range of motion, strength, and comfort to the client result. NMR is usually done in several sessions. Client will also be given stretching exercises to enhance the muscular reprogramming and the healing process. *Source: Jocelyn Olivier, December/January 2000 issue of MASSAGE & BODYWORK MAGAZINE
